Longing for the final handshake from the daily chore of office work often turns out to be a daunting task in reality. Highly active people 50+ find it challenging not to do anything and sit at home.

For many people the first two months of staying free of work might feel refreshing but soon the feeling fades. One is restless and wants to go back to work. Many healthy retirees seek voluntary work opportunities in a bid to give back to society what they got.

A sizeable population wants to put their expertise to good use. They want to work again. The right to work is a guarantee one can seek.

Dignity Foundation recognized this need a decade ago and set up a specialised service to facilitate retirees to go back into Engagement:

• Full or part time employment
• Volunteer position in an NGO
• Adopting a passion long held crucial to soul satisfaction
• Feeling a productive member of society and trying out several pastimes
